Mt. Redoubt is less than 2 miles across the bay from where my sister lives!  Shocked

Hello , 2 miles is Dangerously Close !! I thought the volcano was more remote , in a non-populated area . I hope everyone evacuates in time . The news of people living there in danger , takes the fun away from the science / excitement of this post here on Thunting.com ..................................Eugene52

People make choices, live next to volcanos, on fault zones, in tornado paths and when seismic sea waves come to shore people run to the sea to watch them. Everyone stay safe and keep informed.

Debi,   Two miles away - your sister has a good view of the volcano for sure. Goggles, breathing masks would be the main things I'd guess they'd need in prep for the ash. Let us know what she reports, please.

I read that Columbia SA also has a volcano that's expected to erupt and people are vacating. Interesting if they both went off at the same time.
