One of my favourite places to hunt are also old crossroads near cities. Often people used to burry things there. Some detecting friends of mine have found several hundred coins in one spot a couple of years ago.

My fav has been Fairgrounds, one inparticular has given me many silvers however, my best so far and a beaut is my 1880 25 cent Canadian Silver Quarter. Still to today, I can not believe the condition of this one....

The best areas are around the foundations of old cabins and houses.
