Has anybody heard anything from Cornelius recently? I've noticed he hasn't logged on for 3 weeks. Hope he is doing fine.

I did notice its been real peace full on this forum lately too !! Maybe he is on Vacation . Its summer , many members are all out prospecting and detecting . I was out detecting yesterday morning , the weather is fantastic here in southern Nevada , 105 today !!!

Hello Seldom and everyone . When I say morning I mean 6:00 am and quit at 9:00 am !!!
Its a dry heat here , the humidity is usually 10% or less . That makes a big difference compared to being in the mid-west or the southern states . The dirt here is dry and kinda hard but not too rocky [in the residential areas] . I am almost ready to hit the park soon just a few blocks away And I did not see any "no metal detecting" signs posted .

Humidity has a lot to do with it only got to 90 on the island yesterday but with humidity at 100 % you don't want to stay out long. If I hunt at all in the summer its at night or very early in the day.

105^o F is pushing it.......anything over that starts to get might uncomfortable regardless of the humidity. Once it gets to 110^o, forget it. At that point you start looking forward to the days when it cools down to the low 100's. Bad thing about the 110^o + days in Arizona and New Mexico, they also tend to occur during the period when we have some our highest humidity also.
