That's a neat find. Have you found out anything about it? Modern or old? Valuable or very common? Was it found in the U.S. ?

Thanks for sharing!

This coin i found in Pennsylvania in a glacial lake. The bottom of that part of the lake where i found this coin was gray clay like soil very putty like.

Looks like a garden variety Feng-Shui coin to me. It's hard to tell unless you hold it in your hand. Real Chinese coins have a heft to them and don't normally have that edge band.

Homefire , we know it is a very common coin . Not of any great value . I am interested in the story behind it though . That is why my middle name is  ,, researcher ,, .  Cornelius

There was a railroad not far from this lake, it was at one time called the Gravity Railroad. This location where i found this coin i also found some artifacts while water detecting, this area was a popular coal mine area in the old days. I hope to get back to that spot and detect, the property was sold and a large home was built there on the lake. This pic. is some of those items in the exact location...
