Water abhors a vacuum. During cavitation the vacuum forms pits on metal and elemental transformation can take place. Also a blue light is given off, sonoluminesence. They are trying to use lasers to create vacuums in water to study cold fusion. As we are water and function like crystals, maybe there is a parallel.
