Hey Everyone,

I'm new to the hunting world and wondering what anyone knows about the laws/rules of hunting in the Sarasota/Bradenton/Clearwater area? I've read so many different answers to where we can and cannot hunt. I don't want to make a stupid mistake and end up with a police taking my equipment.

Thanks for your response

Welcome from New Mexico.

You always have the Beaches.

Don't know about the schools there.

From the High to Low Water mark of the Beaches in Florida belongs to NO MAN!

Getting there may be a problem.   LOL

Just look up the City Regs and look a round.

 Cool

O2diggold, Welcome to the forum, this is the place where it's happening. I hunt the west coast all the time. Ft. Desoto, ST Petersburg beach, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs. to name a few. Its tolerated on the public city beaches pretty much I've never been approached by anyone in that regard. Stay out of State parks, County Parks may be posted "no digging" If they are stay out of them. Private beaches are just that. The owners technically can't keep you out of the water but they can call the police to enforce City regulations if they so choose. Almost every community has a no digging on the beach law but I've never been asked to leave and in the winter detectors are thick as flies on the beaches. Some of the best sites are behind the big private hotels and many have No trespassing signs prominently displayed on the beach So I don't go on their beach. I stay in the water.  Don't know about Sarasota and points south when you find out you can post it here. Like homie says, getting to the private beaches takes some work. You may have to walk a mile to find access.  gambol

By State Law all that gets wet belongs to No One.    It's open.

I lived on the East side and Could not go in the water because of Leases on the Wrecks but It was cool to hit the tide line.

Behind Chucks Steak house you had to do quite a hike but it was worth it.
