Hello again, I want to share this unique specimen of Alberta calcite. It was found in the mountains Southwest of Calgary, Alberta. I have shown this specimen to many different people and no one has seen this type of crystal formation before. I welcome any input. The cluster is about a foot high. Smiley

And I'll file a claim for it, dad.

Calcite crystals are common here in Australia from the gem fields and occasionally inside a thunder egg. We also have lots of castellated selenite here which is hydrate calcium in crystal form. My wife has a lovely one that sits on her bedside table. There's a lighted, motorized stand she uses to watch the crystal when she wants to meditate.
