Go Up Go Down

This represents less than an hour of fossil pickin. A 50 yard area along a nearby creek that became a torrential river recently, ripped out an area and exposed a lot of new surface. The ammonites were everywhere.
The largest is almost 11" there were several at 10" and the rest were 3-8" in diameter. Total for the area 40.
I sure had a good day that day.
The very next day I found a 20$ bill and a childs 10K ring.
This weekend was very good to me.
PS: I do not post pictures of my gold finds, period.
Even if I am proud of what I have found it is just one of the things I do not do.

Have a good day

Wow - I bet that was lots of fun finding all those where the river had washed. I'd have had a hey day.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Sorry GD1950,
You're on the wrong track. These were not snails. They were cephelpods.
They were more related to the Nautilus and the cuttlefish than any other creatures.
Now if you had said, Waiter my octopus smells a little dusty.

these are nice do you have any to trade?  I have some decent turquoise from nm, hachita stuff, and some nice corundum crystals from india, how many of these would fit in a flat rate box?  and do you have identity by species yet?  very nice find...b
