hi all , I found this out walking in the woods in New Hampshire several months ago and never paid much mind to it till today.
it kinda looks like it might of been a failed attempt at a spearhead . comments, and thoughts are always welcome. thanks every one.

Looks like quartz to me which indicates it would not be anything that has to be thrown or used as an arrow. Too brittle. But, that means it's most likely a skinning knife or hide scraper. Quartz was used for that because it could be made to have a very sharp edge. If dropped, it would probably break but strong as the dickens for hide work.

It is  quartz  and definitely been shaped or had pieces flaked of glad I brought it home.
