Hello franklin4,

May I make a suggestion that has always worked for me. If you want information about something that someone else has, why not ask that person directly?  Teach

If you'd like to contact the "meteoritemen" here is their email address:
info@meteoritemen.com  It's really no big secret, they have it on their website.  Welcome

I had a question about a find that has the earmarks of being a small, but legitmate, meteorite crater with many fragments. I sent in a request along with photos I took at the site.  Shocked  Geoff responded in a couple of days which I thought was extremely short considering the many requests they get. Whereas Arizona State University sent back by regular mail a preprinted request form for cash donations and a turnaround time of about 6 months. Idiot

Good luck in your quest,
Ken "dustcap" Chichester

Google Meteorites. Many sites give you several tests to use to prove the "find." For starters get yourself a grinder of some sort to cut into the "find" to see if there are any openings, metalic particles, inclusions, etc.

Good luck in your quest.

I don't think they used a homemade coil. There are a number of manufactures that make the coils you see.
If I'm not mistaken I think they used a coil made by Lorenz. Of course if they can make them so can someone else and while it looks simple- it's also deceptive.

Someone was looking for Lorenz coils awhile ago to build this thing, don't think they found them.

The meteorite men were using the 40" x 40" coil.
(I think)

I think Lorenz is a German company and that's why it might be hard to find the company website.

Steve
No offense but Mexico isn't someplace I would want to look for treasure...

cash and treasures had a nice 20 minute segment on these guys
the hostess found one that is priced at $255,000 here in dallas
on the program, no one bought it - of course
however, they did interview folk who dropped several K to "own a piece of outer space"
