... and some fossilized tree bark. I found a really old tooth in this creek behind my house but at the time I didn't know what it was and thought it may have been a old farm animals tooth and tossed it back into a deep hole in the creek. Later I went to a rock show and this guy had a table set up with all types of Pleistocene animal teeth that where indigenous to our area. He showed me some different teeth and what to look for as in characteristics and color and apparently it was a bison that went extinct in out ares 10'000's of thousands of years ago. No no! Well I relayed this story to my brother and we decided to walk the creek and see if we could find anything. Just when we where about to give up he said "we ain't found sh*#!! EXCEPT FOR THIS!!" just as his eyes found this tooth laying on a sand bar.. Crazy It appears to be a Pleistocene Horse tooth. The main characteristic that ID this piece is the size, color, and the groove running all the way down one side.. Teach I hope I'm right with this ID. Maybe some of you might have a little more info. Any additional info would be welcomed. Thanks for looking..

That does look like a horse tooth to me, SD. Great

Nice plant fossil too! Do you know what age it is from where it was found?
