Go Up Go Down

I've been panning a bunch of times, mostly with my cousin (who was a professional miner for some time). That guy can find gold in places I wouldn't even look. We went for a hike a couple of years ago, and came across some bed rock. He pocked around for about 10 minutes and found a nugget the size of my finger nail. He just smiled when I asked how he did it..

The time of year to go is NOW!.. Right after the run off. The heavy currents will bring down a fresh crop of gold each year.
Equipment: plastic pans, 5 gallon buckets, spade, small trowel, small prospectors pick/hammer, vial, strong back and a cooler full of beer (which is why it's fun to go panning).
Can't tell you where to pan - that's a secret :-)
It's fun to bring girls too. Panning usually turns into a water fight/wet Tshirt contest (another reason it's fun).

Doesn't matter if you findXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXwhen you're having fun with friends.

I guess selling mining gear keeps you busy, and there is no time for you to go out.
By the way welcome to the forum from Melbourne Australia
