That's more variety than I've seen in a long time.

Nice! Look like bugs from a sci-fi movie i watched recently.
Are they alive? Edible or toxic?  Tongue

None of the above, they're fossils. They're ancient crustaceans that have long ago turned to stone. Smiley

It's a rock on the ground, it's a specimen when you take it home.

Most are from Morocco and Oklahoma. Am I correct in that assumption.
If you found them in a geologist's basement, did you purchase them or were they given as a reward for some deed.
That collection is very valuable and some quite rare.
Figgy, when I saw your first post I had no idea you were one of the professional few who bother to post. Most do not.
Keep the stuff comming and I'll try to show some of mine. Most of my stuff are personal finds very few are traded for.
A "rock" on the ground, is a "specimen" when you pick it up and take it home....
Out4gold
Most people do not realize, that these were allready fossils in the ground when dinosaurs were alive and walking around.
They are that old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Out4gold,
They're from an old collection and they all came from Morocco. I traded them for Megs. Thank you for your kind words but I'm far from a pro, I'm just an avid amateur with a store and a love for fossils and minerals. I love trading, it gives me the opportunity to improve my collection without putting out the money! Smiley

Just wanted to say that all these fossils that have been appearing are fascinating to me. Thanks for sharing them and I hope to see more. Great collections! Never thought about fossils present in dinosaur era - you're right, Out4Gold. I'd like to find some, too - where would one start looking - I know, where others have found them  Smiley I've seen shells in limestone gravel, but I do have a piece of large old equisetum horsetail that's been fossilized. Would fossils like yours be found with them? Sue
