My son found this. I think it could be from the Pleistocene. I have never seen and thing like it. Its got a surface like a herbivore but is shaped like a k-9 from a carnivore..

Unless Gambol1 or Out4Gold or Seldom or one of the others that spends a lot of time with fossils has an answer, this looks like it might take a while.....but the folks here usually manage to come up with the answers eventually.

     hey superduty....what seems to the issue here?  I don't know if you're refering to this topic or another topic seperately...but we all come here to learn from eachother.  if this is about your "unknown tooth" and you're upset with seldom because he said that he's not sure it is a tooth....you need to "check fire" and realize that you are asking for help from people that know the answers to our questions because of their knowledge and experience.

    If I am missing something here, then I sincerely apologize....but from where I walked in, it looks like you're the one that is bashing someone for trying to help you....and you are bashing someone that has helped me in the past and probably will in the future....so "check fire"....google that term...it's an artillery term that means to cease fire, because you are hitting and taking out your own troops.

toleary34 Thanks but its no big deal we are use to helping people that get upset if you don't give them the answer they want. I took it to the fossil hunters board only to find out he had already posted it there and did not like the answer so he tried here. With out an age or formation/location were it was found it would be hard to ID anyway. Sad really looks like a good find but doubt if anyone will now help him get an answer.
