I was just curious to know some opinions on value Wink I have always wondered if there is any value in smaller fossils? For example, shells, reptiles etc.....I have come across quite a few over the past few years and wondered if it was worthwhile to look for more?

Homefire,

You make a good point, they usually only crackdown on something they think holds value. Its funny around here though, the limestone quarries blast and crush thousands of fossils and the government is happy to take their % from the tonnage. If I want to market the same I'm sure they'd be all over me for the enviromental damage.............. makes sense to me Idiot

It's a rock on the ground, it's a specimen when you take it home.

Depends on just what fossils you are finding and if, what you are finding is of a collectable nature.
Most fossils, that amatures bring to me, are not much more than driveway material. Undecided
Need to see to evaluate.
My avitar is a fine example of value. (Value over $800.00)
Highly collectable good condition and rare.
Lots of trilobites out there but not all are valued beyond a few dollars.
I can not express enough without seeing.
If you post do not be offended if I can not see value.

Jess B
