Hey everyone I'm new here, I picked up my new detector about a month ago and started using it haven't really found too much yet, however I'm looking for meteorites can anyone give me some good places to start out also tips and tricks? I'm in the Bay Area California I don't mind traveling and I have plenty of patients and understand it make take sometime to find something that I can jump for joy.

Start looking in any open grounds you have .

Dry lakes,  Open Field and all.

I re-titled this and moved it to Prospecting & Minerals from Finds/Odds & Ends as the message subject matter has no apparent relation to the original post title (Search Coils) or board location.

HotTopPick, if you scan through the topics list for the current board, you'll find several that specifically deal with how to hunt for meteorites.
