I have only had my AT Pro out 3 times since I purchased it. I use my AT pro in standard mode, locate something, then switch to PRO mode. The chatter does take some getting use to thought. I thought there was something wrong with my detector, after reading some of the posts, I find the chatter is normal & takes some getting use to.

I think I might go with the etrac instead of the at pro.

I just bought a Garret AT pro yesterday and went to beach this morning and right off the bat found 31 cents and a toy car :\ i really like the different modes and the simplicity of the human interface, it is soooo easy and the results are terrific. I got other "deep" hit 10+ inches but didnt have the tools to dig that far down Sad

Peace

At Pro is a GREAT unit!  The standard DD coil that comes with it likes bottle caps. Great relic coil for depth and coverage!
Bought a 6X9 Concentric coil and all is well when coin hunting now! Works like an Ace 250 with more depth... and water capabilities.
Now all I need is the 5X8 DD coil in my case for Gold Nuggets!.... ( Yes- Pro mode is the key!) A very versatile unit!...
Wish they would make a long cable for hipmounting tho!!!  Undecided
Good luck... best...Rich
