Go Up Go Down

Hello i bought an at pro last month and at first i read the manuel twice and then i played in standard mode then the first time out all i found was pull  tabs so i read the manual again, got to talking to a fellow member ( homefire ) and he told me to quit relying on what the machine was showing and telling me go by the sound so i put it in pro mode and have been finding coins no jewlery yet, i wanted something i could get wet, pin pointing was easy but some times not relieable at edge of water. hope this helps.

I have the At Pro also. Works well around the fresh water or salt water.

Here is what I have found that makes it work. You must ground balance when ever you go closer and deeper in the water.

Start at wet sand ground balance,(either manual are auto) make your search passes.

Move into the swash water again ground balance.

Ever time you go deeper in the water again ground balance.

If the unit is erratic a slight amount do not adjust the sensitivity you will lose depth. Instead manual ground balance either 1 or two negative or 1 or 2 positive. Depends on your beach sand.

I have recently (04/16/12) purchased an Garrett AT, only had it out twice (last 2 weekends), I haven't discremated yet, want to find out what's it finding, so I dig most targets, I haven't taken it the water yet, but do look forward to the beach this summer.

I have found the sound the detector makes, more reliable when it finds something. I hope to take out again this weekend.

I never discriminate with my AT Pro it is to easy to miss the small jewelry if you do.

You will get to learn the sounds in Pro mode and 9 out of 10 you will be right. Besides get the trash out of the way you hear. Then I have gotten a strong signal underneath. There is the goodies. It has happen time and again to me.

I've got the pro. Works great in pro mode takes getting use to with all the chatter, but worth learning for sure. About the only time I would say use standard might be in a seeded hunt if you know what they dropped.
