I purchased the at pro 3about weeks agos and in my testing ground ie my back yard after 1 hour of owning it i found a 45dog long colt brass casing that had beenin the xirt for a long time. I also found a round ball pistol round inbedded i have clay and an old horse tie off ring ring from a hichen post plus numerous old coins and a few newer coins. I have been out a few times with it and have never come home empty handed. Sometime i use it in standar
mode and most of the time i use the pro mode. I did replace the standard coil with the 5x8 coil and it wrks great by the way i have used other detectors in my yard and never found any thing Ihighly recommend it to anyony who doesn t want to spend a fortune for a detector that will do the same job as the at pro

I am now in Stanton Arizona and I have been using. the detector (at pro) and I have found gold as small as a picker I am impressed especially since my friend used a mine lab 3000 and I found more gold than he did and considering the difference in the technology in the 2desert machines I say if you listen to your machine dig every time you get a sound there is no difference in the machines due to cost just trust what your hearing and learn how to use your machine it will work for you

Thanks for the info its good to get real time field tests from actual users,with how many other units did you go over your yard with ? you must have a lot of iron in your area could be why other machines failed you.  Great

I owned 2 other detectors and did the same thing with them it seems that ever time I change brands I fing more stuff I would like to try the mine lab 5000 but I just dont have the bank account for it.
