 Cry Detecting
Well my first day out with Euro Ace, and its my first day out with a metal detector in 40 years !!!
Kept making noises on the slightly wet sand, guess I should have brought the manual with me
First find .......Old Coke tin (6inches down)
Second Find........Old Coke tin (1ft down)
Third find..........Ring pull (1ft down)
Fourth find........Bullet cartridge from sand dunes, must be WW2 will have to check it out.....
Fifth find........... as above
Sixth find ......... old 5p piece
Most of the above were showing high up in the scale which puzzles me !!!
Hope someone can help
Barry

Barry the Ace will work in wet sand if you turn down it down to about 5. You are using the meter and I for one find that a waste of time. You need to learn to tell the diffident in tones and soon you can tell junk from good stuff. Try a bench test using coins a ring and some pull tabs it will help you learn the tones. The more you use your detector the better you will get at it

Thanks I did remove a segment out after I got the last tin can, so it does work I guess. Would a better detector help ?? or is it just for me to understand the tones, the EURO ACE does not give you loads of tones to go from unlike the Garrett AT Pro
Is my machine OK for me
Cheers
Barry

The detector is a good one you just need to get use to it. After a few times out you will be able to swing it like a pro.
Hang in there.

Seldom
