Go Up Go Down

I recently purchased the Ace, and had to return it to the factory, where they replaced the lcd display. Upon return I went to the beach, and something doesn't seem right. I pick up a weak signal and proceed to remove the sand. Once the sand has been removed there is no more signal. This has happened several times. I've tried various modes and sensitivity settings, but get the same results. I am in the Philippines, and it costs quite a bit to send back to the US, and when returned here, pay customs again.
Does anyone have some suggestions? Thanx

That machine along with the little sister ACE 250  have issues with salt water sand.

Turn you Sensitivity down a bit and try again.

hoted69, My experience with the 250 is that its depth is limited to about 3 cm (5 gram coin) in wet sand and less than that in the water. I did find some coins in the water by scrubbing the coil along the bottom but it is tedius. On dry but salty sand the depth is limited some what but it works well enough. Take homefire's advice. turn the sensitivity down. I suggest you do some tests on the beach, That is bury the coin you seek in the sand 1 cm, 3 cm, 5 cm etc. and see what happens at different sensitivity settings. this is the first thing you should do. Gambol. Smiley
