bbb.. ACE 150 is a good machine, Used one for hundreds of hours and found lots of good stuff. On a good day it will find a nickle at 6 inches about the same as the 250.  You will need a pinpointer to save time. because the 150 doesn't have one. My advice is to place it in the all metal mode and dig everything you hear for the first 40 hours and then for the next 40 hours place it in jewelry mode and dig everything you hear. Pay especial attention to the trash. In the future you are going to be able to eliminate some of the digs but at first you have to get to know your machine. After about 100 more hours you will start to get a feel for the machine and your digging of cans and trash will be less. Read and reread the detecting tips in the manual that garrett publishes with it. It took me a year before I could tell a can from a dime, a nickle from a pop top. but if you work at it it shouldn't take so long.  Good LuckGambol Cool
