Go Up Go Down

This morning took the Master Hunter out to a favorite detecting place, weather was very hot-Humid, not nice at all, after a very few minutes the LCD on the detector fogged up so bad couldn't see any Readings on the ID, so detected with my Scorpion, on way to lunch, placed detector on floor of vehicle in front of airconditioner duct, and sure enough after lunch, LCD very clear, started detecting again, in few sweeps===FOG_FOG+  called Garrett-Phone number is on all Garretts detectors, got nice lady-she transferred me to Tech rep, he asked a few questions, told me it was due to taking out of cool A/C house into hot humid, and fogged up like windshield, I was keeping it in house, he said too much temp/humidity variation, Keep it in garage or not air conditioning, it was fogging up like ice tea glass or windshield,  I did this, and well  IT WORKED,  all I needed to do was use my head and think about it, they were very nice and helpful and didn't even call me a dummy Great Great

Problem is moisture within your detector.

NOT GOOD!

Put a Silica Gel Pack within your battery case and all will be well.

This way your Detector can sleep in the house were it belongs!

I keep mine in the garage but have used Silica Gel Pack as Homefire suggest just because I live so close to the water.
