Hello friends, I have a problem with that metal detector.
Once burned by the charger will not start at all, I have changed it several transistors (NSDU45 analogue), (2N3904) and (BDX54-analogue).
Then the device work, but there was no sound in headphones and capture a very shallow!
If anyone can help with ideas, I would greatly appreciate it!

Greetings!

you correctly diagnosed the original problem, so he now has a working detector.  Unfortunately, it only picks up shallow targets.  What changes do you recommend for increasing the depth?

Turn the ELEMINATION control fully off or Down.

Try again.

This changes your delay timing on the sample taken.

Let me know! Wise
