A Question I have!
And It go's like this,
Whats better of the two ?
Garrett AT Gold or the Garrett AT pro??  Tongue Undecided
The Garrett Gold reads not good for salt water! but is it all right / good for the beach
"I'm 55% sold on the Gold than the Pro"  Exhausted

This is a rather general answer so I hope it helps.  I only have one gold detector and it is a Tesoro Lobo but I use it for all kinds of hunting because it is very sensitive.  I have leterally found birdshot when hunting.  I think you will find this is true of any gold machine because they are designed to find small objects.  If I want to hunt for coins and I'm not concerned with great depth I just turn up the discrimination and when I get a hit it is usually something worth keeping.  I can totally cut out almost everything but coins.  Of course the Lobo has no screen or  fancy stuff but the point is the sensitivity to small objects.  I'm thinking the one you are looking at will share some of the same functions.  Hope this helps.

What are you going to use it for? If its for general use parks relic hunting beach etc go with the Pro if you plan on nugget hunting then look hard at the AT Gold.

Consider the Tesoro Tiger Shark. Works on sand, wet sand, dry land, the goldfields and tot lots. As an added bonus, you can take it into the water to a depth of 10 meters. That's over 30 feet. Fresh or salt water. An excellent machine. I like mine a lot.

Did I mention that it has the famous Tesoro lifetime warranty? No? Well, it does. Another bonus.

I was told by a dealer that the macines are identical except for the coil. I have an AT Pro (which I am very happy with) and he suggested just getting the AT Gold coil if I want to hunt nuggets.
