I did a stupid thing.
I asked for permission rather than get forgiveness.
After many hours the powers that be ,found out that MD in Maryville TN isn't allowed
DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THIS IS REFUTABLE?Huh?
Are there other towns, in this area, that are equally uneducated?
I wouldn't want to get their knickers in a knot.

I'm not sure if my memory is correct but a few years back I remember reading about permits being required in all of the TVA areas. Does this fall into that category?

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi GoldDigger:
Thanks for the reply.
To answer your question, No I don't think this falls under the CVA situation.
Yes, They're all around our property but much of the land I'm interested in is NOT theirs.

I went to the town hall to make sure I wouldn't get arrested for MD on public property because I heard that there MIGHT be restrictions.
The police officer at the window took about 20 minutes of calling around to find out that there is an ordinance, that nobody was aware of, that said
"NO METAL DETECTING ON MARYVILLE PUBLIC PROPERTY."
I would bet not a single patrol officer is aware of this ordinance.
