I agree !!!    I bought my 250 in spring and have no problem with it. I dont have any other's just the 250.

Not that I know of. Remember that it all works together and this togetherness is quite critical the only thing that you could do is get a bigger coil for it.

If you get the info on the coil we could make one. Only thing is you wont get the tiny little things well you might do if you just make the coil a bit bigger besides all the very small stuff that we find is wire or nails that have rusted to nothing. If you can get the original size of the coil (not the casing) and the type of coil DD or what ever the inductance and wire gauge making a new coil for it should be fairly simple.

Buddy, unfortunately the Garrett coils are not just coils  No no! they have an electronic board in them also, components as far as I can tell are somewhat a secret  Angry Umm, will have to look around a bit....  Shocked

Most do not.
