Hello All

At least he managed to get a free holiday out of the deal. Good luck to him. But I do not think he understands what he is in for.

Serious expedition Nah.

The vegetation is incredible just to get some places on the island take days of hacking through vegetation and jungle humidity of 100%.

Then there is the central American Fire ants that are super aggressive. They attack in their thousands, they own the island.

Doing anything on Cocos is no walk in the park.

But a beautiful island all the same.

Hardluck  :Smiley

Shocked There's no way in hell that any one could swing a detector in that vegetation.

Here's another article.

"A decade ago I came across a box of documents left by a fellow treasure hunter. Inside were some of the clues which helped me in my search. I think I've cracked the secret of the treasure and found only three locations where the gold could be."

I say good luck to em, wish I could swing a search like that. A hike through a forbidding landscape in a place few humans have been sounds like a good time to me. The humidity part sucks though  Tongue They don't really look like the survival type either.

Fire ants I have dealt with all my life and they are mean although those are probably a bit meaner yet.

If it's impeneterable why would anyone haul a treasure there though? Pirates valued a carefree life not a labourous one....

Maybe they will stumble onto one of Ed Davis' caches Wink

Hi

I find this some what puzzling.

The US government sent over a lot of soldiers, bulldozers, excavators and dug the crap out of that island, now this guy has the answer, armed with a 3D imaging mat that won't penetrate clay ( if there is any clay on the island that is ) and a soil test, Oh! and some research.

Good Luck on your quest!
