I live in utah where there are maps, history, carved trees, as well as legends surrounding spanish gold and mines in the area.  i found a website the other day that spoke a a place a couple hours south of where i live in a town called Kanab, Utah.  The guy who owned the wewbsite was saying that there was a map from way back when that was very accurate, and showing aztec gold being burried somewhere in the local area.

years ago when this map first surfaced the whole town was out and looking for it.  the author on the websit said that the spanish used water traps, where they would dam up the water, dig a cave or mine and bury the gold and then again flood the cave and area with water from a lake, or river.  Aparently there is a lake down there with an arrow pointing down into the water with a circle drawn in the middle section of it, which is apparently a spanish marking commonly used bak in the day.

two divers went down in the water below the arrow and in fact found a cave and went inside, but got the sensation of being choked and taunted with so they turned around and went back out and left.  they returned a couple years later, and experienced the same thing, it makes you wonder what's really down there, anyone got any more information on this one or spanish gold?
