Hello Creole,
If this came from a structure, it may have been the # ing system as to where to stones went. The process there would be to cut several stones and # them as to how the cutter cut them. Do all the stones have them or just the one?

this is the only square stone with this symbols. But there are sculptures of a turtle and a dog.
