I can't find the GPS section on this web site. Maybe it's here, but I can't find it. I had previously posted excellent material about maps and GPS usage before.
Anyway, I have recently been inputting treasure hunting waypoints on my Delorme PN-20 GPS unit. With the Delorme PN-20 and the recent PN-40 you get very good topo maps to be loaded right on the unit. You can load government topos as well, although I haven't done it. I input a note with a particular waypoint so I have a reminder of what the waypoint is going to be when I view it.
I don't need to haul along cumbersome topographic maps any longer when on some treasure hunting excursion. The big 7.5 maps are the best but they get ripped, dirty, and lost.
