Yep, There are People who have recorded History for over 10,000yrs and 50,000yrs before that in Australia.
and they still do it as they have done so for years, I find it offensive when people play conspiracy theories
with my countries History, It's not as old as yours or Europe's but it is ours just the same.
And we would rather share our Culture than have someone deside it for us.

you know, don't you, that the Spanish occupied the Philiphines from 1565 to 1898?? thats about 340 years,, and I don't know what the distance is between the two, but I hear that Gen McArthur when he left the philliphine's  to australia it was in a small or midsize boat,, so not to far from each other!! in 340 years there is a good chance that the Spanish made shore in australia,, at least once don't you think???    td

The Dutch founderd or Landed on the East side of Australia in 1606.

Great Britain claimed Australia in 1770.

And as far as records go back these are the facts

The Commonwealth of Australia was formed on the 1st of January 1901

Well when I went bush there are still people who live just like folks did 60 or 100 yrs ago,
Just like in parts of the US.  still many people die when they head inland,
It is one of the toughest places on earth to survive in,
This is why most towns and cities are coastal and not more than 50 miles or so from the coast

Hey you guys nice to get a bit side tracked, I did enjoy the topic going to Australia and early Spanish  arrivals. RR remember not everything will be noted in the history books. I'm thinking a new topic could be in order about early Spanish travels in the south pacific. Earlie arrivals in Australia.
