I have a new toy: an Apple IPhone3Gs.
I downloaded two fabulous map applications that I am working with and they are fabulous: Topo maps and Motion X GPS.
I have always used and loved USGS topo maps and have a ton of them. But, with this topo map program, which costs about
six bucks, you can get any US or Canadian topo map for free. The regular price on a US topo is $8.00. The program has other
features that are awesome. For example once you have a particular quadrangle you can note your current position and the
bearing and distance to go to another spot you are interested in.
Motion X is a great GPS program with great features like other expensive GPS receivers only Motion X cost only a few dollars.
