program takes you anywhere virtually in 3d. fly,spin, hover,it's amazing.

yeah went down to the historical dept. yesterday, nothing for this area before 1903, and anything older is only the whole state..gregg

I know someone who has this and he recommends it but he's not a treasure hunter or anything like that so I don't know if it would serve any purpose for this field.

There are many mapping systems but I'm not sure National Geographic version would quite fit the bill for treasure hunters.

let's say you were researching a site in the boonies,along a river,where a ferry was in operation from 1744-1852.you know the location,menu of charges..1/2 pense,shillings,crowns,ect...& early american money. now your ready to go look for anything lost during those 108 yrs. of operation.

i'd like to go there in 3d and check out the grades,old roads,skid trails,surrounding creeks,terrain,ect..before leaving the comfort of my home!

of course thats just my humble opinion. Smiley
