Since you may also have a face with the boot, it could be a trail marker.
I can only guess as to its real meaning. Im a hard sell on a single find. You would need more markers and give more information. The camera can see only so much, and time of day and angle of the camera can play a lot into it.
I call it a look here rock. Again with a face present, I say you might have something there. I would check the area out for more signs so you can figure out if its a fluke, or real. Also who put it there.
I know little of the KGC and the guys who follow that confuses the befuddle out of me trying to keep up. Dont give up looking, but GD is calling it.
You might wish to post a thread about know treasure in your area, and see if you get some ideas you can actually check out.
