Can anyone help me with the meaning of this symbol ? It might mean treasure above in a shaft or opening. If anyone could confir or shed any light on this symbol that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Haven = )

That is a tuff one. Undecided  I have looked through symbols from Alchemy to Zodiac and can't find anything like it. Were there any other symbols in the area that might bring a clue?

I figured it out its definitly spanish its a combination symbol that mean treasure is above in an opening or cave and its not that deep only one vara = ) there is a symbol close by that is native american that says a native was injured or killed. Maybee the Spanish treasure symbol is associated with the native symbol. The treasure itself may have come from the injured or killed native? Further exploration to follow and hopeful recovery of a treasure !

Youv'e got a beauty there....... Sign = Gold bars buried in hole/cave.
On breaking the sign up into 2 halves one gets this : 'O' bottom half of sign = definite gold deposit
Top half 'Y' with ball on top = Double trail diversion marker. Treasure lies between the two.
Keep in mind that signs, more often than not, will mimic something of the territory or surrounding area, No one knows the area better than you so play around with ideas looking for something that resembles the sign. Maybe look between two boulders for a pointer rock etc.

Tesoro Dog:  My knowledge is based purely on a book of signs that I have. Why specifically 'gold Bars'? Why 'diversion marker'?  Who knows why specific terminology is used. I guess one needs to find the treasure to enable true interpretation of the sign. Maybe what the sign is really saying is its above ground; high up above the height of both arms stretched above one's head? Only "Haven" will know what to look for, and, how to interpret the sign as he is the only one that has knowledge of the area. Hopefully he finds something and clarifies the sign for us

How about a Hint on were it was located?

Could just be a Phallic Symbol.
