Don,t waste that lemon juice on a rock, pour yourself a Margarita my friend you just struck Gold!

"X" Is usually close if not on the spot. Most sites Ive worked have "X's" all over, I mean the really big Treasure Sites. These "X's" all lead to the left and stop at some point. But I know what you mean about the hole in the center. Ive seen this type of marker before.

Of course it might help me by the fact Ive back packed and hiked all over this State Mountains and Deserts and have the , photo's, maps with GPS coordinates to prove it! Ive photographed so many signs and symbols I veven get confused!

The Lemon reaction would be with the calcite or carbonates in the rock . This means possible hydrothermal Gold deposit!

Use Murriatic Acid.

This is what the very first Geologist did when he went to one of my sites to rule out the possiblity of no Hydrothermal activity.
