Papal Bulla, It is only half a papal bulla and is a recent find, there is various ideas as to why they are sometimes found in half, perhaps where the cord from the document passed through creating a weak point or they were purposefully cut to stop them being used again, there is a standing figure one side with writing around and writing on the other side, I will take it for recording and they may be able to tie it down to a paticular person, I will keep you informed, here is a link that explains more about papal bulla's I hope it works.

I'm not 100% sure this is a papal bulla. I haven't seen this type so far. Normally on one side is the name of the pope and on the other side the heads of St. Peter and St. Paul with the letters SPASPE. Have you found out the text on this seal?

Yes I totally agree with you, I to am not 100% sure, it needs further research but it is of that period  Undecided
