I have been detecting for more than than 20 years and have seen this at least once a year.

When you dig a hole under the snow, you not only spread dirt around making it look like it has been carpet bombed, but the root structure is destroyed and has had a difficult time growing back, leaving a brown spot.

I know we get anxious, we all do. But please take this into consideration.
