Go Up Go Down

In late 45 or Early 46 we moved to a new Shack in Rainer Valley, Seattle WA.
Our new abode was sorta like a Barn with Indoor plumbing. It was built on the shore of an old river bed.
The "Black River" ran from the south end of Lake Washington down to Puget sound near King street.

There must have been a cliff, and somebody put a shed on it. Then a lean to onto the Shed, and so on.
Dad paid $2800 for the House and lot.
The space  under the house extended out over the old river bed. Good rich Black dirt.

We would dig in it, and came up with all kinds of stuff people had thrown into the River.
Jeez if I'd have had a Metal Detector in those days eh?
The old River bed is still there. All those houses back up to the old river bed. Probably all private property now.
There was an Alley way that went across the block. I'd bet you could Search that ally way.
