Can anyone point me to a good site for information on what makes a good detector? I am starting out and am overwhelmed by masses of data which to me is meaningless and need to find a site that will explain the differences and what too look out for. Smiley

AA good one to start out with is an ACE250 ,,,maybe even a tesoro silverumax....  just starting out its best to go a cheap at first learn from lowend detector first then move up.... if detecting is for you with any of these machines you should not lose to much money on resale,,,,,,,, if you decide it is not for you are just want to upgrade ,,,,,check out you tube videos on detecting also many great tips on detecting there also and even look around the forum never know what you will here  goodluck
