I have heard of some good finds in the area of Dalonega, Georgia in the past-one man using a Garrett detector found a 27 pound gold nugget there years ago. I'd like to know if anyone is still able to find any decent nuggets in Dalonega? If they are, what size are the nuggets generally?

But most of the finds will be from flour gold to small nuggets.
A few years back they were finding detectable nuggets near the Wildlife Management Area where BridgeMill subdivison is on Lake Alatoona. You will also notice the street names in that S/D are gold bearing..LOL
