Hello all. I am going to the beach soon and am looking forward to doing some detecting . I have only been once before for about an hour and found nothing but bottle caps. I will have a few days this time and I need some pointers. Is there anything I should do or not do and are there any books you recomend about beach hunting. Thanks for your time.

Noah, you're going to get lots of tips from our members with experience....but while you are waiting, start by reading the previous posts on our Beach and Shallow Water Hunting board.   You'll find a gold mine of practical information there from people who have had the results.
