Go Up Go Down

 FightHello,
i was in the deep mud this weekend and i had to hose down my ace when i got home and i think i got the controlls wet. i opened up the housing and then blew dry the circuit board but i am not sure it is working properly anymore. it picke up some shot gun shells i found but not others. i had it on all metal and it wasnt picking up some things, but other things yes. Can someone tell me if a 9.5 inch coil that is all scratched up orchiped will still function properly? or can something be wrong with circuit board? Can someone else also tell me the next model up i should go to after using the ACE for 2 years, i want something better. Can someone point me in the right direction for land hunting. thanks robert

hey robert, sorry about the 250.a scratched coil should still work but i guess it depends on how bad it is tho.if it got wet, could be a huge problem.as far as a new 'tecter it all depends on how much $ you want to spend.run the 250 over some targets you placed on the ground, should give ya an idea about whats going on with it.good luck buddy

You started with Garrett you should look into an upgrade through them they are a very reputable manufacturer.
I have two of them a 250 and a 350.
I do not work for them nor do I represent them. I just feel that it is a good choice for some one who has experience with one of them. Otherwise take a good look at a Whites. They are a little heavier but once the learning curve is out of the way they too are a fine choice.
I'm sure there are a lot of people on here who likes or dislikes any of the makers. Everbody usually has an opinion.

BTW: Garrett may be able to help you repair your ACE.
They do repair them here in Garland, Texas.
After all it is a very good backup device.
