Go Up Go Down

Hello.  Hello I am the founder of the YouTube Channel Treasure Hunters. This is a brand new YouTube channel, and I have great expectations. The reason why I have come to you, is because this Channel is special. Treasure Hunters is going to be one of the first (at least the first I have ever heard) community treasure hunting channels. This will include Gold Prospecting, Metal Detecting, Bottle hunting, anything you can name!

Now to elaborate on the "community channel." This is going to be for all treasure hunters alike. Any treasure hunter can submit their treasure hunting videos, with a short description of their hunt (to be put in the description) and anything else you would like to add before sending it in. All credit will go to the hunter for their video.

I created this channel for a few reasons. I LOVE all kinds of treasure hunting. I can sit and watch it all day. However, having to subscribe and keep checking for updated videos and all can be a bit of a pain. Now users can simply subscribe to one channel! And the best part, the channel will be updated daily! Or how often the video submissions come in.  I also like a variety of hunting, in all parts of this world. I believe this channel will be able to provide that content for myself and all treasure hunters alike. Not to mention the bragging rights one will have when they upload their awesome finds!

If anyone would like to submit their video content for the Treasure Hunters community channel, you can simply email your videos to
And Subscribe to the channel here!

First thing first.
I would like to welcome you to the forum.

I prefer to be treasure hunting outside not in front of the TV.
Some times I like sharing photos of my finds with the members on the forum, but making video and telling the world where the stuff was found it's not my way.
any way that's only my opinion

I am with nickle on this one. Making videos and patting yourself on the back is not treasure hunting it is called I want to be a treasure hunter. All videos and the dumb a$$ TV shows do is give the anti-detector folks bullets to use against us to pass more laws to stop metal detecting. So you keep feeding them and one day the only place you can detect is in your own yard you will understand why real treasure hunters play things close to the vest.

Your first post is to try and suck members away to your site not a good way to get a long here

I back up the others!  Just a Trap in the making.   Expect nothing from me.  I know it all sounds good and can be in good faith but it all end up in the bucket.

Some things are better un Published.

Come on, guys. George "Buzzard" Massey got his start that way on the Outdoor Channel on cable. The GPAA was eventually founded on the back of that. Let's see how it goes.

Treasurehunters: There are no fewer than 30 other channels devoted to that topic and hundreds of individuals posting movies. Look harder.

Thank you GoldDigger. That is the exact reason why I decided to make a channel as this one. Simply because there is not many devoted directly towards treasure hunting. I'm not asking for professionally edited videos. I am simply asking for your hunts on tape. This is the channel for your average unglamorized treasure hunters. If anything, I could see people changing their minds about the hobby after seeing how to correctly make a plug, and how to make it like you werent even there.

This is pure BS nothing good can come from it. Over the last 10 years every city meeting I have been to in 7 different city's the anti detector bunch have used u tube videos and clips from the reality TV shows to show the so call damage hunters do to parks school yard etc.  Plus only a fool would post their major finds  on the net, yes we all post finds from time to time but in my case I post less then  5 % of what I find, good way the get lawyers and cops knocking on your door.

I'm sure you've noted the lack of finds posted by me, old friend. I know what you are saying but the Outdoor Channel on cable is loaded with treasure hunting shows.

I agree with the majority here.  I really don't watch many of the videos that are posted on this forum, let alone go to YouTube.  Like Nickel_n, I would rather be outside doing it rather than watching it...  but I'm just an old fogy anyway!   Wise  However, today here in northeastern Oregon it has been snowing, and  blowing and cold!  I'm getting ready to hibernate, in my house, and catch up on my reading and research and movies I haven't taken care of during the t'hunting season!       Detecting
