You hit the meaning of the  tread , (when  you know/predict/have heard in this area should be buried treasure )can you explain in details please and which equipment you'll use

Mostly I never consider a question to be a silly one but with thousands of different detectors out there and no chance of you telling us what you are looking for there is ZERO chance of you getting an answer that is meaningful.

Are you seriously expecting us to say "Go and buy Brand-X detector and you can find a treasure at 50 feet in depth." Not going to happen.

So here's an idea. Get specific. Tell us what you are trying to find. Let us give you some serious advice. We DO want to help but this "dance of the secrets" is getting you nowhere. Give us an idea of what you are looking for. Answer these questions for us.

1. What is the approximate mass?
2. What kind of metal are you searching for?
3. How deep do you believe it is?
4. What kind of soil are you going to encounter?
5. What is your budget to buy a detector?

Until you answer those questions, you cannot expect us to advise you properly. Remember, you don't have to tell us WHERE it is, just the general idea of what you are looking for and perhaps why you are looking for it. I once found a cannon by sitting on what I thought was a log covered in moss. It was a 6 ton brass cannon. Later I went back with a detector to see what else was there. I turned it on a few yards away and it went off constantly. Thinking my detector was broken, I turned it off for a while then tried again. Same thing. Long story short, I was standing on a twin to the first cannon and my detector was going crazy from 4 feet above the cannon. Once I moved away, it worked great and I found hundreds of artifacts over the course of a couple of months. Only two cannons, though. Which, by the way, remain where I found them.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

One the start of the treat it was good question now it is silly Grin
If I know all details to answer on your questions, I'll go and dig right
I was asking from members from their experience to give examples
If you do not like to answer on silly questions simply ignore treads ok

You have been told all along that this is unpredictable. It has indeed gone into the "silly" area at this stage. If you have a specific target in mind, say so. Otherwise accept the answer. It is not predicable. Period.

We find it Discouraging when someone ask a question and will not except the answers provided.

My bet is GD the person providing most of your answers has more Treasure Hunting Experience Years then you are old. At our current level
of Technology, we don't have Metal Detectors Capable of doing what your asking.  Some day maybe but not at this point in time.

Homefire.

Listen just for a minute, ok.

GD is The Most Advanced Person Here When It Comes to Electronics, If you want the Answers to your Questions, You Need to tell him What the GROUND CONDITIONS Are and the Size of The Objects And How Deep You Think They Are and What Type Of Soil Is In The Area,

For example Volcanic Black Sand Will Give A Detector BIG TROUBLES, So In Black Sand You Will Need A Pulse Induction Machine, Or In an Area with Low Minerals You Might Get Better Depth From A VLF with A Large Coil, In a Site with Lots Of Iron Junk A VLF might be the Better Choice,

Its is This Information Goldigger1950 Is Asking you for, HE IS NOT ASKING WHERE IT IS BURIED,

2 Things you need to do if you want Help In Getting the Right Machine, 1 is Answer the Questions and 2 Stay here and TALK TO US,

Ok.

Great That's Better,  Well the Deus can and will find a single Coin up to 17 inches or 430mm, so that is a good idea, But with Clay that can be Very Highly mineralized which could cause you a lot of problems so in that case you would need a pulse induction machine (PI) But they have VERY  LIMITED Discrimination But if you need a PI Machine then The Best One to get would be either the Whites TDI Pro or the TDI SL because you can switch between High Conductive Targets and Low Conductive Targets and Also if you Alter the Pulse Delay You can wipe out un wanted targets, OK

The TDI's come with A 12"/300mm Duel Field Mono Coil,But you can get A single field 12"/300 Mono from Whites and it has A Little more depth but it does not see the tiny Targets that the Duel Field Coil will see, But for Deeper Targets you need to Buy The Miner Johns 14" Mono Coil and for things that weigh Less than 0.05 Grams you will need the Miner Johns 5X9 Folded Mono Coil. You might need the 7X11 minerjohns folded Mono Coil as well but the Standard coil will Help you Find Coke Cans down to about 3 feet+/90cm to 120 cms, The ground in the mountains can be a bit Hard on VLF Machines so Because of the weight I would Get the TDI SL, and My Personal Choice would be the MXT ALL Pro with the 10!/250mm Coil and also the 12"/300 Coil, But they do Make a Monster Coil that is 15"/390mm that will find Coke cans over 3 feet and Larger object extremely Deep,

Thank you for the Information, It does make it easier to Give you the Answers you Need,, Ok

Hope this Helps,

With the TDI Pro or the TDI SL, if you switch into Low Conductive and advance the delay it will Ignore large High Conductive things and Vice Versa, and by Adjusting the Pulse Delay you can wipe out even More Junk,

OK.

what about ammunition cartridges they are made from copper or brass and can give false results

I have searched on internet about mineralisation and on global  map
our region it is not colored with read which presents areas with mineral and high mineral soil ....
