i am finding it hard to pinpont  whith the dd coil   fisher 4     any tips   please   i can get right whith the 4 inch coil  but not the dd thanks

Hot area of DD coil runs  the length of the coil.         
   Target could be anywhere under center length of the coil         
   Once target is located, move coil left and right to get shallowest reading.         
   Rotate 90 degrees  to the left or right and move coil left and right and
        up and down to get loudest signal or shallowest depth and target will be under the ears
   where shaft attaches to coil..         
   This is on the DD 1400 coil. I'm assuming it will work on all DD coils.   
        Hope this makes sense. I'm sure this has been explained other places better than what I  am doing but this is the best I can explain.

When I find a target, I pull the coil over it and back up untill the sound goes away. Then  swing forward until it beeps and it should be right in front under the coil. When you get good at it you can put it right on the target and just wiggle the coil and it will sound off.
