So it looks like I'm not going to stop metal for rest of life  Cool, anyway I've done a lot of research on metal detecting and
most people who have been into the hobby seem to have a few different metal detectors. I talked to a fellow a while back on the
phone and he said that Minelab metal detectors aren't set up for soil conditions here on the west coast, Is that true ? I also
found out after about 5 minutes into our conversation he was a Whites dealer. Was he trying to steer me away from the Minelab
to get a Whites ? I have an M6 right now and I love it but I'm thinking an alternative might good to have. Can anybody tell me the
differences between the two ?  Teach Lets say Whites M 6 vs Minelab Safari
Thanks for any info well appreciated,
Wolfy

Wolfy, I don't use a Minelab, but a bunch of the guys I hunt with use them, including ones that came here from Southern California and who regularly return there and hunt the beaches.  Not only do they love their Minelabs, but they've got the results to show for them.  Unfortunately, I can't give you a comparion to the Whites M6 because none of the folks I know have tried to use them there.
