I use a screwdriver simple for park hunting

If you can master the technique and live in an area where they keep the park lawns reasonably moist, the screwdriver is probably the most lawn friendly method.    Unfortunately here, even the parks get really hard....so I'm experimenting with using a screwdriver and a pair of longhandled hemostats (make the hole next to the target with the screw driver and then use the hemostats to fish out the target.  The biggest challenge is you have to be really good at pinpointing....but then using the screwdriver seems to involve better pinpointing anyway)

BA what are hemostats? Isn't that something from Mash, like Hawkeye and B.J. Honeycutt, like a surgical tool?

yeah, they're long-handled locking clamps or tweezers very similar to needle nose pliers

My dad was a medic, so I've been using them in various crafts and hobbies all my life.
