Yes.

The more moisture in the ground the better the conductivity of the metal in the ground and the better it shows up on your detector.

Also and this may be an old wives tail, the first five days after a full moon, some detectors seem to work better. This may be because people detect under the light of a full moon, spend more time out and have more finds because they are out and about longer.

But after a good shower of rain is a good time to detect, better signals and the digging is easier too.

T.

All the above and more.

Have you ever smelled Ions in the Air?

There Conductive and have effect on not only the Control box but the Transmitted signal as well.

Living on a Glob of Molten, Crusted Rock and minerals hurling through space Things change.

Lets see?     The Earth is like 24,000 miles in circumference.

It takes 24 hours to rotate once.

That's Us Spinning at 1000 MPH.

Add to that the Travel Speed around the Sun of:  So the Earth moves at about 100,000 km/h around the Sun (which is 1000 times faster than the speeds we go at on a highway!)

100000 Kilometers per Hour = 62137.119223733396 Miles per Hour.

Spinning like a TOP, add the 1000MPH.

Oh , Chit!    What is  holding this Rock Together?
